Behind the loom

I started loom beading during COVID. Working as a mental health nurse, I saw first hand the impact that COVID had on the hospital system and the toll it took on people's mental health, including my own. During this time, beading became my form of mindfulness and relaxation.

Encouraged by my partner, I started Loom By Rose, a small side project to channel my creative energy. What began as a personal practice in mindfulness has grown into a space in which I am able to create intricate, handwoven beaded artwork and jewellery that I can share with others.

Now I want to inspire others to embark on their own mindfulness journey through the art of loom beading. We've developed our own uniquely designed bead looms that are compact, portable and easy to use, making this meditative craft accessible to everyone. Whether you're creating at home or on the go, bead looming offers a chance to slow down, be present, and experience the joy of making something by hand.
